GAIN Bus Tour 7-27-10

In an effort to raise awareness of the resources available for starting new companies, recent applicants from the Cade Prize for Innovation Competition were invited on a bus tour of the innovation economy here in Gainesville. The applicants were chosen for the tour as they each demonstrated potential for starting a innovative companies in Gainesville. After bus stops at various local incubators in town, including GTEC (Gainesville Technology Enterprise Center), CIED (Center for Innovation and Economic Development), and the Sid Martin Biotechnology Incubator, the day concluded with a wine and cheese networking event for all interested in entrepreneurship and innovation in the area.It was a great day!The event was sponsored by GAIN, by Progress Corporate Park, by Phoenix Commercial Park, by the Sid Martin Biotechnology Incubator, and by Florida Works.For more on Gainesville's innovation movement, visit .
